Orgo-Life the new way to the future Advertising by AdpathwayPresident Donald Trump continued to sow doubt about the integrity of U.S. elections late Sunday night, using a Truth Social post to contrast the outcome of the “first round of India’s Presidential Election” with the “CORRUPT” process in the States.
There’s one glaring problem: He mixed up India — which hasn’t held a presidential election since 2022 — and Brazil.
Brazil’s presidential election began Sunday.
Trump deleted the post before sharing a new version that refers to Brazil’s election instead, but a screenshot of the original post remained on the White House’s Rapid Response page on X for hours afterward.

Trump used his post to point out that the results of the first round of Brazil’s election “came out shortly after the vote closed, on the SAME DAY!”
“In Detroit, Philadelphia, California, and numerous other U.S. Cities and States, the results, with much smaller numbers, will often take weeks to Rig, I mean, calculate,” he added before declaring, “Voting in America is CORRUPT!!!”
The vote in Brazil takes place entirely on electronic voting machines, allowing for the rapid delivery of election results.
Brazilians have also addressed their confidence in the process.
Back in the States, Trump has fostered distrust in the election process, using a primetime speech in July to claim that Americans were “blatantly lied to about the security of our election infrastructure, including the security of electronic voting machines.”
He made the claim before turning to a 2020 memo from the National Intelligence Council that outlined how foreign agents and groups could have the “capability to compromise US election infrastructure” in that year’s election.
That memo, FactCheck.org noted, also detailed how the infrastructure “would be difficult to manipulate on a wide enough scale to alter the election outcome.”
