
The world is at a dangerous crossroads. In the post Cold War Era, East-West Dialogue has been scrapped.
At the juncture of the most serious crisis in modern history: Is “Peaceful Coexistence” and Diplomacy between Russia and the West an Option?
In late August, CIA Director John Ratcliffe flew to Russia on an Air Force C-17 “Globemaster III” heavy-lift transport plane. He reportedly met his Russian intelligence counterparts, without immediately disclosing the nature of the visit.
His concern was not the danger of escalation. His intent “consisted in blackmailing the Kremlin while offering nothing but hot air in return”.
We are at a dangerous crossroads. Russia is expected “to hold back”, despite routine NATO attacks directed against civilian targets inside Russia, in the course of the last five years.
Constructive Debate and Dialogue is crucial.
Can East-West Dialogue be Restored as a Means to Avoiding a Third World War?
There is a sense of urgency. Military escalation could potentially lead humanity into nuclear war.
The first priority is to restore dialogue and diplomatic channels.
A Peace Initiative is required.
