I asked him on a live broadcast how he would pronounce a new player from Thailand with a difficult name. He said: ‘I call him number 31 without noodles.’ Political correctness was not the same then. Enjoy your infinity, mate.

Everyone at World Snooker Tour is deeply saddened to learn of the passing of legendary snooker player and broadcaster John Virgo, aged 79.
