Orgo-Life the new way to the future Advertising by AdpathwayPresident Donald Trump on Sunday unveiled a potential redesign of U.S. Space Force uniforms, and it’s giving sci-fi fans a bad feeling.
The president posted an image of the supposed “next generation” design on his Truth Social feed:

Donald Trump
Trump shared the image during a massive daylong posting spree, and it’s not clear if this is a real design for a new uniform or just one of the many images, memes and AI slop creations he likes to throw into his feed.
The image states that the design was inspired by the “discipline and functionality” of the uniforms in the 1997 film “Starship Troopers.”
That film was intended as a warning against jingoism and fascism, with design elements deliberately taken from Nazi Germany.
Critics also pointed out that the design looked a lot like the evil Imperial uniforms seen in the “Star Wars” films.
They struck back on X:
Designing the Space Force uniforms to look like the evil bad guys from Star Wars, who are led by an elderly, power hungry tyrant, who lose, repeatedly, is a bit too on brand, no? https://t.co/IWEdjEBx7q
— Melanie D'Arrigo (@DarrigoMelanie) September 6, 2026I liked the movie, which was very different than the book. My concern is whether these guys understand the point Verhoeven intended in Starship Troopers. The thing is I don’t know what would be worse: whether they got it or didn’t. https://t.co/tX0QAAJ6cm
