
The Western-installed terrorist regime in Syria, whose “President”, a founder of al Qaeda/al Nusra Front in Syria, Abu Mohammad al-Julani, now named Ahmed Hussein al-Sharaa, has sentenced Syria’s former Grand Mufti, Dr. Ahmad Badr Al-Din Hassoun, to life imprisonment.
Acclaimed journalist Vanessa Beeley commented on a Telegram post:
The Al Qaeda court in Damascus has sentenced the former Grand Mufti Hassoun to life imprisonment. Meanwhile Al Muhaysini, on the left in the photo, who trained child suicide bombers to massacre Syrians has a room in the Four Seasons Hotel and has set up business in Syria …

The irony is endless. Not only is a Western-installed terrorist regime torturing and imprisoning a man of peace who is emblematic of inclusiveness and pluralism, but also, Canada and its allies have removed Syria from the list of states that support terrorism.(1)
The charge, according to the “Legal Defense for Grand Mufti” is “the claim he accepted 100kg of sweets as a bribe to ask President Assad to free a prisoner.”(2)
Not surprisingly, according to the aforementioned site, “Amnesty International defamed him to make sure no one would sympathise with his plight…”
