The White House on Wednesday shared an illustrated image of the president doing a thumbs-up in a Santa hat, with the headline “Daddy’s Home.”
“HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS!” the White House wrote of the picture on X, the Elon Musk-owned platform formerly named Twitter.
Trump’s MAGA base predictably boosted the post.
But the latest in a long line of instances of conservatives leaning into calling Trump “daddy” was mocked by critics as “so gross” and more.
In June, the White House shared a highlights reel montage of Trump’s NATO summit appearance set to Usher’s hit “Hey Daddy (Daddy’s Home).” Reps. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.) and Byron Donalds (R-Fla.) have also both referred to Trump as such before.
