During an eye-opening segment on Fox News Channel’s “Hannity,” Stephen Miller, a key figure behind the Trump administration’s aggressive deportation policies, laid bare the ongoing struggle over voter rolls in America. The focus was on how blue states have resisted working with the Department of Homeland Security, opting instead to keep illegal aliens on their voting lists.

Miller recalled that the administration’s initial approach was simple and straightforward. “At the beginning of this administration, we asked every state, red and blue, to share with us their voter rolls so we could scrub it against the DHS file of illegal aliens,” he noted. This request was made in good faith, aimed at ensuring the integrity of the electoral process. However, the response from blue states was shocking. Instead of cooperating, these states uniformly rejected the request and even filed lawsuits against the administration in an effort to maintain their voter rolls as they are.

“It’s a troubling reality,” Miller explained. “Every blue state refused. California refused. Minnesota refused. New York refused.” This outright rejection raises significant questions about the motivations behind the states’ decisions. Miller implied that these jurisdictions are deliberately fostering an unlawful voting environment. “They want the fraud,” he insisted. In his view, these states are resistant not just to removing illegal aliens from voter rolls, but also to addressing other irregularities such as dead people, felons, and out-of-state voters on the lists.

Miller’s remarks highlight a critical issue that has broader implications for electoral integrity in the United States. He linked the potential consequences of this situation directly to the Biden administration’s border policies, claiming that as many as “20 million illegal aliens” have entered the country. This reality underscores the risks of allowing non-citizens to participate in elections, which Miller described as “our sacred democratic process.”

In the tense back-and-forth on the show, he emphasized the urgency of addressing this problem, framing it as a foundational issue that could undermine the very principles of democracy. The refusal of blue states to collaborate on cleaning up the voter rolls suggests a significant divide on the topic of election integrity, leaving many to wonder just how serious the commitment is to uphold democratic norms in these regions.

The implications of Miller’s assertions cannot be understated. If blue states continue to resist efforts to identify and remove ineligible voters, it may have long-lasting effects on future elections. Miller’s pointed remarks serve as a rallying cry for those who advocate for stricter voting regulations and a return to what they see as necessary safeguards for the electoral system.
