Orgo-Life the new way to the future Advertising by Adpathway
Hi Everyone,
This RDS goes out a little earlier than I have often done in the past for Tuesday programs. I figure, why not just get it out a bit earlier? So it’s uploaded at 2 pm EDT. [CORRECTION – IT WILL BE LIVE AT 2:30 PM EDT]
Below is the description for Youtube.
In this wide-ranging and revealing conversation, Richard Dolan speaks with filmmaker Dean Alioto—best known for his legendary *McPherson Tape*, the original found-footage alien abduction film that continues to spark debate decades later. The two explore the origins of that iconic project, the blurred line between fiction and reality, and the deeper implications of Alioto’s latest film, *The Alien Perspective 2*. This isn’t just a discussion about filmmaking—it’s about belief, manipulation, and what it means to challenge the narrative from both sides of the camera.

I have to say, Tracey and I really enjoyed meeting Dean at the recent CITD event. The guy is hilarious, but of course very smart. He can indeed lay claim to the n0tion of “found footage” film (which of course became incredibly popular with The Blair Witch Project — a film that truly scared the shit out of me). No, Dean didn’t do that film, but he did one a full decade earlier, known as The McPherson Tape. I have a link to it above. That short film became famous because many people really thought it was a genuine film of real aliens. Dean never intended for that to be the case — he wasn’t trying to hoax anyone. Anyway, we discuss a bit of that story.
Then we discussed his current film project, his sequel to The Alien Perspective. Tracey and I saw it. It’s a good treatment of the subject in general and a worthy addition to the genre.
Also, as an unapologetic ABBA fan, I was truly into the fun video he did with his girlfriend during Covid, which I thought, hell, people should see this! That is also linked above.
I have the followup Members only part two of our interview coming up. About to upload it here.
Enjoy!
Richard
