The Department of War has published its second release of declassified Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena files under the Presidential Unsealing and Reporting System for UAP Encounters, adding 222 files totaling 5.6 GB of video footage to the growing public archive. The total files tally is now 162 + 222 = 384.

The release follows the first batch published on May 8, 2026, which came after President Trump directed federal agencies to identify, review, and declassify records related to UAP and extraterrestrial life. That initial drop of 162 files, drawn from the FBI, NASA, the Department of War, and the State Department, spanned incidents from the 1940s through 2026 and included Apollo 12 and 17 mission photographs showing unexplained lights above the lunar horizon.

The second batch expands the scope considerably. Incidents range from the Apollo and Gemini missions to reported sightings over Germany, the Netherlands, Iraq, Iran, Syria, Greece, Kazakhstan, and Mexico, as well as maritime encounters across the Arabian Gulf, the Gulf of Oman, and even the conflict zone of the Strait of Hormuz.

There are several FBI photographs and videos in the files with singular to multiple UFOs in formation.

Secretary of War Pete Hegseth framed the release in direct terms: “These files, hidden behind classifications, have long fueled justified speculation, and it’s time the American people see it for themselves.”

Parnell confirmed the Department and its agency partners are already working on a third release, to be announced in the near future, with files continuing to be added on a rolling basis.
