I was in the home stretch of a substantially enlarged article on the history of Russian ufology (to be posted here soon) when I learned of the 4th Trump White House UAP tranche (as they are calling it). So of course I stopped everything I was doing to review the files. 

And I did go through every one of them. 39, by my count. Smaller than the others, but I have to say, not useless. Both editions of the very historically important Air Force intelligence report on flying saucers from December 1948 (revised in April 1949). It’s difficult to overstate the importance of that document, and I did take some time to explain just why it matters. Several other very significant historical documents in there. 

I realize some people don’t care very much about the old history. They want photos of bodies or craft. Well, there wasn’t anything like that, obviously. But along with the documents were some (to me at least) genuinely interesting videos. Of course, the same problem as before: no metadata or other technical information required to make a proper analysis. So ultimately not all that helpful. Still, interesting and worth at least a quick look. 

Some duds in there, too. Overall, I found this release to be similar to the others: interesting, for sure, especially from a historical point of view. Disclosure? Of course not!
