President Donald Trump on Sunday veered into a Yelp-style review of two major networks that he has sued.

As a reporter on Air Force One began to ask about the president’s so-called “anti-weaponization fund,” Trump detoured into another attack on the press.

“Who are you with?” Trump asked in a query now dreaded by many a reporter.

“I’m with ABC News,” the journalist answered.

“BBC?” Trump interjected.

“ABC,” she repeated.

“Oh, ABC. That’s worse,” he replied.

“You said the anti-weaponization―” the reporter attempted to continue before the president interrupted.

“I like BBC better than ABC News,” Trump announced, as if the world was waiting for his off-the-cuff media analysis.

Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche, whose nomination for the permanent gig is on the line, announced later that Trump’s $1.8 billion “anti-weaponization fund,” which was expected to benefit Jan. 6 rioters, will be terminated by a formal order.

But Trump’s detour into a critique of the fourth estate is perhaps the most memorable part of this gaggle.

The president has beef with both networks. He sued the BBC for $10 billion over a Jan. 6 documentary he claims was edited to make him look like he directly called for violence on the U.S. Capitol in 2021.

As for ABC, he got the network to cough up $15 million when he sued over ABC News host George Stephanopoulos saying Trump had been “found liable for rape” in writer E. Jean Carroll’s case when he actually was found liable for sexual abuse.

Trump has also made ABC talk show host Jimmy Kimmel his late-night whipping boy, repeatedly calling for him to be pulled off the air for his anti-Trump barbs and once succeeding temporarily.

But one observer suggested a little pushback could make things interesting.

“Maybe a reporter should just reply with ‘It doesn’t matter, please answer the question,’” one person wrote on X. “Then just watch him absolutely implode.”
