Orgo-Life the new way to the future Advertising by AdpathwayDonald Trump has warned Virginians that voting in favor of a redistricting effort on Tuesday could be a serious blow to the GOP ahead of the midterms, and it sure feels like an ad for Democrats.
On Monday, Trump joined a tele-rally with House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) in hopes of convincing voters to reject the redistricting referendum that, if accepted, could lead to a redrawing of Virginia’s congressional maps that would likely give Democrats four more seats in the House.
The vote marks the latest bout — and one of the last — in the nationwide redistricting fight leading up to November’s elections.
“If they get these additional seats, they’re going to be making changes at the federal levels,” said Trump in a clip shared by Kamala Harris’ Headquarters account.
Experts expect the results in Virginia to be close on Tuesday. Nearly 1.4 million Virginians have voted early, a figure that nearly matches the amount of those who did so in the state’s gubernatorial election last year, the Richmond Times-Dispatch reported.

Social media users swiftly reacted to Trump’s comments, including Rep. Ted Lieu (D-Calif.) and the pro-redistricting group Virginians for Fair Elections, both of whom approved the president’s message in posts to X.
