Orgo-Life the new way to the future Advertising by AdpathwayPresident Donald Trump on Sunday night bragged that his approval rating has jumped to an impressive new high.
Just one problem: It hasn’t.

Donald Trump
It’s not clear what rating Trump was referring to, but none of the recent polls tracked by RealClearPolling, The New York Times or The Economist have his approval rating even approaching 50%, much less 59%.
To the contrary, The Economist’s tracker has his disapproval rating at 59%, versus a 36% average approval rating, which puts him 23 percentage points underwater.
The Times’ tracker has his approval rating at 19 percentage points underwater, while RealClearPolling has his disapproval rating at 56.5%.
Trump’s other claim is true, sort of: Oil and gas prices have come down since the highs reached during the peak of the war with Iran.
However, fuel prices are still about $1 higher per gallon than they were before ― and the renewed hostilities with Iran caused oil prices to jump again on Monday.
Trump’s critics on X offered him a reality check:

— Kentucky Statesman (@ky_statesman) July 13, 2026The average of 70 major polls has Trump at a 40.1% approval rating (yikes) with about 57% disapproving. Why? Prices are going up, not down. You go to the grocery store and the gas station, so you know that. https://t.co/NEjUwch8Ps
