Well, it was good, but mostly for people who enjoy mocking the president’s actions on social media.
Recently released emails suggest Trump’s relationship with the disgraced financier and sex trafficker went on much longer than previously believed ― even during his first term as president.
Things are looking sketchy for Trump, so he took to his TruthSocial platform and demanded that the Justice Department and FBI investigate Epstein’s ties to powerful people.
But not all of them. Just the ones with Democratic ties, like, most famously, the Trump wedding guest, former President Bill Clinton.
“Now that the Democrats are using the Epstein Hoax, involving Democrats, not Republicans, to try and deflect from their disastrous SHUTDOWN, and all of their other failures, I will be asking A.G. Pam Bondi, and the Department of Justice, together with our great patriots at the FBI, to investigate Jeffrey Epstein’s involvement and relationship with Bill Clinton, Larry Summers, Reid Hoffman, J.P. Morgan, Chase, and many other people and institutions, to determine what was going on with them, and him,” the president said in a run-on sentence.
He then called the current scandal “another Russia, Russia, Russia Scam, with all arrows pointing to the Democrats.”
Like Trump, Clinton had a long relationship with Epstein and traveled with him for humanitarian trips, but Clinton has denied knowing about Epstein’s crimes.
Clinton’s office has previously said he knew nothing about Epstein’s crimes and traveled with him for humanitarian trips.
In one of the Epstein emails that recently became public, he says Clinton never visited Epstein Island, where much of the abuse of underage women took place.
Although Trump promised podcaster Lex Fridman during the 2024 campaign that he’d have “no problem” releasing the Epstein files, including his so-called “client list,” he has been trying to slow-roll the release ever since July, when Bondi told him he was all over the documents.
Considering Trump is appearing to deflect attention away from his own involvement with Epstein, it’s no wonder many people on social media were skeptical.
Very skeptical.

Trump’s panic is the sound of leverage being activated. Every intelligence service on earth knows Epstein wasn’t running a social club but a kompromat.
Not Watergate yet, but the panic feels familiar. When leaders sprint to bury allegations, the cover-up becomes the story.
Classic script-flip: Spot the Epstein heat on *you*, yell "hoax!" and promise a probe that'll whitewash your flight logs (seven Lolita Express jaunts with the creep, remember?). Pam Bondi as fixer? Spare us.

Trump just said he'll be ordering an investigation into Jeffrey Epstein's involvement with Bill Clinton, Larry Summers, Reid Hoffman, J.P. Morgan, Chase and other people and institutions.
Not on that list: Donald Trump. Steve Bannon.
Playbook by people in power:
1) make allegations w/vague or no evidence
2) put burden of counter proof on YOU
3) meanwhile take advantage of issue
4) then claim it was sarcasm or ‘no material found’
This playbook, used by Trump, Vance and Elon, hasn't changed for centuries.
