Orgo-Life the new way to the future Advertising by AdpathwaySen. Tommy Tuberville’s bid to rebrand Presidents Day — in honor of President Donald Trump — quickly backfired.
The Alabama Republican on Monday shared on X an image of Mount Rushmore with Trump’s face digitally added.
He wrote: “As we reflect on our nation’s greatest presidents, it’s hard to think of a President who has been more influential in modern history than President Trump. Petition to rename today as ‘President Donald J. Trump Day’?”

The post drew swift ridicule, with critics calling Tuberville — who is running for governor of Alabama and shared it via his campaign feed — embarrassing and worse.
Trump and his allies have frequently mused about having his likeness added to the monument in South Dakota’s Black Hills, despite experts’ concerns it may not support the addition of another sculpture.
Just stop. We have real problems that need solving in this country. Why are you guys are obsessed with naming stuff after Trump instead of making things better for the American people?

— Dr. Tremitiere (@auntiechantel) February 16, 2026Coach, no. Just no. We're talking about George Washington. Who was willing to give his life for an idea that would change civilization forever. Who led our country from nothing to a Constitution. Let's never gloss over his name.
— Kirk Walden (@KirkWalden) February 16, 2026Tommy, I’m so glad that you don’t represent Florida.
— NoahWhey (@NoahWhey) February 16, 2026How you think of ways to be more embarrassing on the daily is damn impressive.
— SWChickadee (@SWchickadee) February 17, 2026I won't write influential, there are more adjectives that describe what he really is for our nation.
I could begin with embarrassment!
Stop glossing him constantly. Do you do anything on your own or do you just wait for his commands?
— Rob Johnson is still here for some reason (@darkspot) February 16, 2026People like you have made America a laughing stock around the world.
— A-Aron (@A_Aron1983) February 17, 2026Tommy, this is not going to be a good flex long term. Watch.
— Diogenes (@mentalcowboy1) February 16, 2026Trump has a 37% approval rating. His picture isn’t worthy even for a truck stop bathroom.
