Two teenagers have died after a car came off a road in Kent, police said.

A 17-year-old boy and 16-year-old girl died after a blue Ford Fiesta came off the road on Saturday, 3 January.

A 16-year-old girl who was also in the car was treated in hospital and later discharged.

Kent Police said officers were called to reports a car had left the carriageway of Old Ferry Road, near Iwade, at around 8.30pm.

Officers responded alongside paramedics and the Kent Fire and Rescue Service.

Police are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage.

Road closures will remain in place while an investigation into the incident continues, police said.
