Scientists have claimed that vast hidden megastructures may lie beneath Egypt’s Giza pyramids, following new analysis that appears to support earlier reports of enormous subterranean constructions below the ancient site.

A team of Italian researchers first shocked the archaeological world in March when they announced that radar scans had revealed a sprawling underground complex extending nearly 3,500 feet beneath the Giza Plateau.

According to their early findings, the system appeared to link a series of chambers described as being the size of city blocks.

Filippo Biondi, the radar engineer responsible for the imaging technique, has now presented what he describes as compelling supporting evidence.

Speaking on Jesse Michels’ American Alchemy podcast, Biondi said that four independent satellite operators known as Umbra, Capella Space, ICEYE and Italy’s Cosmo-SkyMed, had each produced matching raw tomography data showing the same deep structures.

Biondi said: “All four satellites produced exactly the same results. That’s truly remarkable. We can’t announce anything without these fundamental scientific checks.”

The Italian team uses a technique developed by Biondi known as synthetic aperture radar Doppler tomography. Rather than penetrating the ground, the method measures microscopic vibrations at the Earth’s surface.

He claims these vibrations carry acoustic “fingerprints” from objects thousands of feet underground, allowing software to reconstruct three-dimensional imagery. According to the scans, eight vast hollow cylinders appear to descend vertically from the base of the Khafre pyramid, the second largest of the three great pyramids at Giza.

Each shaft is said to contain a central column wrapped in tightly wound helical coils and is thought to terminate more than 3,500 feet below the plateau in cubic chambers roughly 260 feet across.

“The pyramids are just the tip of the iceberg,” Bondi said, “They’re merely a capstone to something much larger beneath the surface. The real structure is below.”

When asked if the spiral shapes could be geological formations, he responded: “Not a chance. It’s man-made. You simply don’t see perfect coils like this occurring in geology.”

However, mainstream experts have strongly rejected the claims. Prominent Egyptologist Dr Zahi Hawass has repeatedly dismissed the reports as “fake news”, arguing that the radar method being used cannot image the depths described by the researchers.

Despite the widespread scepticism, the Italian team maintains that its findings are consistent. They say they have detected similar but smaller signatures beneath the Menkaure pyramid, as well as a single large shaft beneath the Sphinx.
