Orgo-Life the new way to the future Advertising by AdpathwayControversial right-wing UFC star Sean Strickland slammed President Donald Trump on Monday, comparing the vibes of his rallies to those of Nazi leader Adolf Hitler.
“So like when you’re at a Trump rally, you’re like, ‘Oh, I could definitely see how Hitler happened,’” Strickland said on the “Shawn Ryan Show.”
“I’m not fucking joking to you, dude,” he said. “When you go to a Trump rally, it makes you question the sanity of everybody.”
Strickland, who has come under fire this year for spewing a variety of racist, homophobic and misogynistic remarks himself, was booted out of a UFC fan festival last month near the White House.
The UFC middleweight champion claimed that he hadn’t been invited to the UFC Freedom 250 event at the White House earlier this month because of his criticism of the president.
He shares similar viewpoints to other former Trump loyalists who have turned on the president over the war in Iran and the administration’s handling of the Epstein files.
Strickland is also not the only person who compared Trump to Hitler: In 2016, Vice President JD Vance had told his roommate at Yale Law School that Trump could become “America’s Hitler.”
The president himself reposted a text which in part read “Historically, powerful people were characterized by brutal conquest and the fear that they instilled in the populations that came under their influence.”
“Common names that would come to mind are Alexander the Great, the Caesars, Genghis Khan, Attila the Hun, Tamburlaine, Napoleon and, more recently, Hitler, Mao, and Stalin,” the text continued.
Strickland bashed Trump’s leadership during his discussion with Ryan, suggesting that the president betrayed his loyal supporters.
“It’s like the people that have voted ... that rallied around you, you actively just fucking spit in their fucking face for what, dude?” he said.
The fighter went on to further describe the atmosphere of a Trump rally, recalling a tense moment where he saw Vivek Ramaswamy rubbing his head and leaving after the president made threats about throwing people in jail for burning the flag.
“Everybody else is just fucking full send, yeah fuck him. Throw him in jail. Like, if Trump said go grab a gun and go do anything, they would fucking do it. They would fucking do it,” Strickland said.
“I know. It’s a cult,” Ryan replied.
