The August 28 Partial Lunar Eclipse in Pisces represents the point of no return. Since September 2024, we have been moving through a cycle of transformation and inner growth. We have been challenged when it comes to the relationship with our body and soul and how we can integrate the two. We have been challenged when it comes to our hopes, dreams, and wishes, and confronted with our limitations of what is really possible. We have been guided to get grounded and establish roots, but to also dream, imagine, and allow our creativity to soar.

Essentially, the aim of the Virgo-Pisces Eclipse cycle is to return us to the seat of our soul. The earthy energy from Virgo represents the seat, and the watery dream-like quality of Pisces represents our soul. What does this imagery conjure up for you? What are you being guided to sit with?

You may even notice similar echoes of what happened in March 2026 coming back around for reassessment. You may find that since this time, you have grown in new ways, or found yourself nearing the endpoint of a journey.

If you are still not exactly sure which way the road is turning for you, it’s ok as we still have the final Eclipse in this series to come in February 2027. It is at this point, that we will be able to wrap up and complete this chapter of growth and transformation. It is at this point that we will be able to step into more fiery energy, allowing our passions, motivations, and desires to burn, fizzle, or ignite in a new direction.

Before we can meet with the fire, we first have to work with water. Spend time near the ocean, listen to music, take a bath, sing, dance, create…there are so many ways we can support ourselves.

Endings and New Insights

Partial Lunar Eclipses can be soft, but they still hold a power to bring us to a point of ending or completion. While this may not be the final moment of closing, we are inching closer to it. We may see just what is no longer sustainable in our lives and what is no longer supporting our inner and outer wellbeing.

Where have we been pushing ourselves too much? Where have we been ignoring our bodies or our creativity? Where are we not listening?

These questions are worth exploring under this lunation, as we move through the deep, sensitive, and introspective vibrations that the Eclipse brings.

Mercury, the messenger of the Gods, is also active under this Eclipse, indicating that new information, insights, and ah-ha’s can be on offer for us at this time.

In fact, just before this Eclipse reaches its peak, the Sun and Mercury align for a powerful union, bringing in waves of clarity, new ideas, and a refresh to our mind and the way we have been thinking about things.

Under this Eclipse, we can really stretch the limitations of our mind. How can we think differently about a situation that has been challenging us? How can we push ourselves to seek new information, learn something new, or see things from a new perspective?

As the messenger of the gods, Mercury also helps us delve into our subconscious, bringing up wisdom, intuitions, and psychic messages we may not have been open to hearing. Practices like journaling, pulling an oracle card, or even looking at your birth chart may be helpful at this time.

Stay open to the messages and insights you receive, as they may come in strange and unexpected ways. In fact, this Eclipse may even expose secrets or things that have been buried, confronting us with a new truth.

There may be some difficulty in digesting this truth, and perhaps what arises may not be what you wish to hear, but try your best to move through it with acceptance. Focus only on what is in your control and recognize that life is happening for us and not to us.

Everything that unfolds is an opportunity to better ourselves, to open to deeper compassion, and to grow. There is no escaping hardships in this life, but we can make them easier to navigate if we take this approach.

It is also worthwhile remembering that Eclipses always put us where we need to be, even if it doesn’t feel like it at first. You can think of them as quantum leaps or portals to a new evolution of your soul journey. They are points where you can level up, so embrace the lessons as they come.

The Pisces Lunar Eclipse in Essence

The energies of the Pisces Lunar Eclipse run deep. While all may seem calm on the surface, deeper things are at play underneath. We may feel surprised by how this Eclipse can zap our energy, bring up deeper emotions, and stir transformations. They may just seem to come up out of the blue or in unexpected ways.
