Sleep lightly if you can. Nocturnal noise might be a heads up that something's going on.

Review your door camera logs if you're up in the wee hours of the morning. It could be very enlightening.

Take turns watching perimeter where you live at night if you have backup because you never know who's lurking around, a lesson we all know well.

Also, bar, restaurant owners and event organizers, Mardi Gras often has serial vehicle break-ins outside venues.

Please consider hiring or having volunteer 'watchers' to keep an eye out on patron's vehicles.

I stopped repeat vehicle break-ins years ago by posting myself or others in the targeted parking lot of the building where I was head of security.

If 'watchers' seem like too much, please consider this: those who paid to patronize you ending up paying for broken windows and stolen items is too much too.
