Orgo-Life the new way to the future Advertising by AdpathwayThe Democratic definition of progress these days has put the Black community in a file cabinet-or waste paper basket-with working class White citizens thrown away too;

My problem with the left is they only want me to accept their definition of 'progress' even where it doesn't generate progress for my community or the country.
My problem with the right is it wants me to preserve a status quo that preserves structures stifling my community.
Frankly, I'm not left, right, libertarian, socialist, democratic socialist nor capitalist. Decades of observation has me underwhelmed by application of these systems to date.
This lack of enthusiasm shouldn't be misinterpreted as apathy. I care about key issues but don't cheerlead for Democratic 'team blue' nor Republican 'team red,' respectively.
I pick up political 'poms poms' for my self-described 'independent-independent' philosophy and Black nationalism, home rule in US political terms, separate from being a front for leftist ideology.
This view has me supporting issues which make leftists livid, like: constitutional carry-and grudgingly concealed carry permits beforehand-citizens patrols, volunteer safety escorts for women, expanded use of private security professionals in public settings, and broadened bounty hunter roles to privately recover more than bail fugitives, resurrecting privateers or military contractors to capture opposition vessels for rewards, Trump-scale deportation and classifying Latin American drug cartels as narco-terrorist organizations.
Conversely, to conservative ire, I also applaud majority Black voting districts, minority set-asides for government contracting, recruitment initiatives for Black strivers who otherwise are overlooked in the grand scheme of things and recognizing MLK Day, Black History Month and Juneteenth (which Biden's handlers hoped would help Kamala Harris get more Black votes by making it a federal holiday).
That's just a sampling of issues I'm favorably disposed toward. I can't comfortably wear an ideological straight jacket fitted by tailors belonging to either side of the aisle.
Both political parties seem more content to be in a UFC-style cage match than hammer out legislation based upon compromise.
Let the record reflect I'm not a wearer of rose colored glasses by any stretch of the imagination.
But, confrontation and vilification for its own sake isn't very appealing to me. That and my worldview is infinitely bigger than dreck offered by typists in both majority ideologies.
Community safety is my primary concern. Its presence or absence determines every other issue on the table.
Loud, littered, low respect for boundaries neighborhoods where little law is enforced and resident rebellion for civic improvement is frowned upon is the reality in 'blue' or Democratic establishment-run cities.
I can't in good conscience condone accepting such conditions as 'normal' or 'the culture' that progressives keep saying all Black people should subscribe to.
This stance, rooted in self knowledge, self love and self respect, has nothing to do with White conservative ideology nor organizations like TPUSA or the Heritage Foundation.
Conversely, my conclusions about systemic racism didn't come from communist keyboards inside BLM Global nor allied apparatchiks.
Lived experience and decades of research refined where I stand on anti-Black racism and the centrality of the 'foundational Black American' or 'FBA' experience shaping our politics.
Twenty-first century dynamics have long outpaced either party.
I think we're better served coalescing around shared concerns than following partisan checklists addressing donor interests far more than our own.
We'd also be better served not trying to convert each other. Why waste time arguing ideology instead of pursuing points where we agree?
Vote your priorities instead of the checklist given by either political party.
As applied to that non-aligned entity I call the 'non left' for those who aren't Democrats but aren't right wing either, it means we need to avoid Democratic pundit preaching that they're the 'only' choice for folks turned off by some Trump administration policies.
The Democratic definition of progress these days has put the Black community in a file cabinet-or waste paper basket-with working class White citizens thrown away too.
Republicans seem hell-bent on getting as close to a revived 1950s America on civil rights as possible, which in all candor isn't something I can back.
That concludes this snapshot into my problem with both major political parties.
