Islam is The Broom of Israel

It is early, delightfully early, the sort of hour when the world outside my kitchen window is still pretending to be civilised and asleep. The kettle has just finished its polite clicking, and I have poured myself a large pot of black coffee. No milk, no sugar, no nonsense. The way coffee ought to be when one is preparing to confront the daily absurdity of human affairs. The steam rises like a small private fog, and I sit here in the quiet, tablet in hand, scrolling through the headlines with the resigned air of a man who has seen this particular play performed one too many times.

Three days ago I published a piece titled , ‘Another Islamic Terror Attack, Another Assault On Your Freedoms’ In it I wrote: “Watch carefully after the next outrage. The solutions proposed will never address the bleeding obvious, the ideology that inspires men to gun down families lighting candles on a beach. Instead they will reach for the familiar toolkit: more restrictions on speech, more surveillance, more ways to ensure the law-abiding are the ones who pay the price.” I wish I could claim prophetic genius, but really it is just pattern recognition. The pattern, alas, is holding up rather well.

During the Bondi Beach massacre, a father and son team, inspired by the usual medieval death cult, open fire on a Hanukkah celebration, killing fifteen innocents and wounding dozens more. A straightforward act of Islamist terrorism, confirmed by the authorities themselves. And the response? Australia, a country that already disarmed its citizens after Port Arthur, immediately announces yet tighter gun controls, because clearly the problem was law-abiding Australians secretly hoarding arsenals. More to the point, Prime Minister Albanese has fast-tracked tougher hate speech laws, promising to crack down on hate preachers and online vilification. The United Kingdom, never one to miss a crisis, has its police forces declaring a more assertive stance on protests and social media posts, with arrests already rolling in for people who said unflattering things about the attackers’ ideology. Across Europe and North America the same hymn sheet: redoubled efforts to police thought, expanded monitoring of extremism, and solemn vows to combat antisemitism by making it riskier to criticise anything at all.

No mainstream politician, anywhere, is suggesting the bleedingly obvious: perhaps we might rethink importing large numbers of people from cultures that produce this sort of thing with depressing regularity. No calls to deport known radicals, or to question why multiculturalism, a policy no electorate ever voted for, must remain eternally sacrosanct while ancient liberties are trimmed away like untidy hedges. Instead we get the same global chorus: more control, more censorship, more virtue-signalling empathy weaponised into tyranny.

This, my friends, is what David Icke, a man who has been called every name under the sun for noticing patterns, termed problem-reaction-solution. Stage a problem (or more charitably allow one to flourish unchecked), wait for the public reaction (fear, outrage, demands to do something), then offer the pre-prepared solution: powers the authorities always wanted anyway. It is remarkably efficient, like a well-designed kitchen gadget that purées vegetables while quietly removing your fingers.

And the pattern goes deeper if you are willing to follow the breadcrumbs. Some years ago a French-Israeli rabbi named David Touitou gave a lecture that has since circulated in the quieter corners of the internet. Speaking of Islamic migration into Europe he declared: “Is it good news that Islam invades Europe? It is excellent news. It announces the coming of the Messiah. Islam is the broom of Israel.” A broom, you see, to sweep away the old order, specifically the remnants of Christian Europe which certain eschatological traditions view as the historical enemy of the Jewish people. Sweep clean the dirt, prepare the ground for redemption.
