A Filipino migrant had tens of thousands of pounds’ worth of gender reassignment surgery on the NHS — all while still waiting to find out if they could stay in Britain. The Sun has more.

The Filipino entered Britain as a man several years ago but underwent the health service-backed gender reassignment procedure to become a woman last year.

After the trans surgery, the migrant’s pronouns were changed from “Mr” to “Miss” in official Home Office immigration papers.

The patient boasted of getting the op in a celebratory online message with a pic – using a new name, a feminine version of the old one. …
