Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.) took somewhat of a high road after being menaced by Donald Trump over the weekend. But she still managed to make her defiance known.

Boebert campaigned for the president’s nemesis, Rep. Thomas Massie (R-Ky.), prompting Trump to announce he was looking for a candidate to oppose the “weak-minded” Boebert in her reelection bid.

Boebert was considered a staunch champion of the president before her push to get the Jeffrey Epstein files released and objection to supplemental funding for the war against Iran. Massie incurred Trump’s wrath when he voted against Trump’s “big, beautiful bill” and also joined Boebert in calling for the files to be made public.

“Boebert is campaigning for the Worst ‘Republican’ Congressman in the History of our Country, Thomas Massie, of the Great Commonwealth of Kentucky, and anybody who can be that dumb deserves a good Primary fight!” Trump wrote on Truth Social.

Boebert tried nonchalance to get her message across.

“Yes, I saw the President’s post,” she wrote Saturday on X. “No, I’m not mad or offended. I knew the risks when I agreed to stand by my friend Thomas Massie. I was, and will be, America First, America Always, and MAGA. Onward.”

Yes, I saw the President’s post.

No, I’m not mad or offended. I knew the risks when I agreed to stand by my friend Thomas Massie.

I was, and will be, America First, America Always, and MAGA.

Onward 🇺🇸

The filing deadline for Boebert’s seat has passed and records show she is still running unopposed in the 4th District for the June 30 primary in Colorado, The Hill reported. She switched districts for the 2024 campaign, a maneuver Trump referenced to call her a “carpetbagger.”

Massie is being challenged by Trump-endorsed Ed Gallrein in Tuesday’s GOP primary in Kentucky.
