Lara Trump sang the praises of Sen. John Fetterman (D-Pa.) during a Tuesday interview on Fox News.

President Donald Trump’s daughter-in-law — who has her own show on the conservative network ― told “The Story” anchor Martha MacCallum that Fetterman, whom she interviewed only last month, should be hailed for his willingness to join in with Republicans in attacking fellow Democrats.

“It’s so refreshing, Martha, to see that there is someone like John Fetterman out there, a politician who does the right thing, regardless of the pressure he feels from his own party or a TV host like Sunny Hostin,” she said, the latter referencing his on-air clash with “The View” host Hostin over his vote to end the government shutdown.

“They are getting aggressive with him as well,” she continued. “He reminds me of someone else I know. His name is Donald J. Trump. This is what people love. They love authenticity and they love someone who is willing to stand up and fight for the right things.”

Fetterman was originally considered by Republicans to be “kind of fringe, kind of far left,” she said, but is now “the most common sense in the Democrat Party and how refreshing it is that he’s continuing to be that way.”
