One of the most depressing facts I have had to come to terms with is that even obvious propaganda campaigns work as long as you can keep the chanting going. 

All you need to do is hijack trusted institutions, keep repeating whatever falsehood you like, and vast numbers of people will over time believe that the most insane things are common sense. 

It worked during COVID, and there are still vast numbers of people who have yet to be deprogrammed. And it has worked during the Israel/Gaza war. 

In the space of about two years, the left managed to convince people that the Hamas terrorists who committed horrific atrocities on innocent concertgoers and peace activists were the good guys, despite all the video evidence and the fact that they held hostages, including children, for well over a year. 

All it took was some obviously fake videos, staged photo ops, UN propaganda, and enough liberals to hop on the bandwagon, and suddenly a good chunk of the Western world is rooting for evil. 

Just as troubling, as the dust settles from the chaos of war and all the evidence that the propaganda campaign was built on lies, the power of the propaganda hasn't diminished. Reality doesn't matter.

The "genocide" and "famine" myths were among the most damaging, and anybody who bothered to look into the claims had ample evidence they were false. But aid organizations and the United Nations backed the claims up for a long time, and are finally being forced to admit that perhaps it was Hamas who was at fault.

The UNRWA has suspended 100 employees for directly participating in the October 7th massacres, and thousands more are associated with Hamas. Yet we are still told that the organization is great and totally reliable. 

The UN runs most of the schools in Gaza, and those schools train children to become terrorists and soldiers, which they in fact do. 

Evidence that Hamas uses child soldiers has been around for decades, yet every statistic that shows a teenager who died is considered proof that Israel is targeting children.

Gaza hospitals were terrorist havens. Hospitals were held there. Hamas commanders worked in the hospitals, and doctors who have become rock stars for the global left are now being revealed to be top Hamas commanders.

It was never hard to find these things out. The reason most people don't know that is that the media and many Hamas sympathizers in NGOs find it useful to turn monsters into martyrs for the cause. 

In fact, it's Hamas itself that is exposing the lies. Now that the war is basically over, it is publishing eulogies to its "martyrs," and many of the people that Western institutions and the media have lionized are celebrated by Hamas as top leaders who made the ultimate sacrifice.

Lots of honest people pointed out the facts, and I suspect that most of the authorities who told us that Israel was committing atrocities knew exactly what they were doing. 

Any claim otherwise is crap. It's as credible as Ro Khanna claiming there were no signs that Graham Platner was a bad guy, or media folks acting shocked that Joe Biden was well into the dementia phase of life. 

They knew. They just lied about it.

There is a massive campaign to get Israel to release a top Hamas commander who happens to have been a doctor. He has become a cause célèbre. The goal is to make Israel look horrible by appropriating the respect we have for doctors and turning it into a weapon. If you spend any time on X you will see constant posts about how he is being starved to death, is illegally detained, and that this is yet another example of how evil Israel is.

He's a Hamas Colonel. A top figure in the organization, and one of the key figures who made it possible to turn hospitals into centers of Hamas terrorism planning.

The propaganda works because our most trusted institutions help it to. 

If you follow the facts and not just the news, a flood of information is bubbling out—mostly due to Hamas' bragging—vindicating Israel's claims. 

Unfortunately, most people will never see or hear about it.
