As of July 24, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has confirmed more than 4,100 cases of cyclospora, and is aware of at least 7,400 additional cases that have yet to be confirmed through laboratory testing, a record high.

The outbreak is now being investigated as multiple clusters. One of the largest clusters is believed to be affecting nine states, including Michigan, which has the highest concentration of cases. So far, Michigan health officials have identified over 9,200 cases in the state alone.

So far, only one company, Taylor Farms, has been linked to the outbreak.
