Today, we honour the profound gift of motherhood, a reflection of God’s nurturing love and grace.

Genesis 1:27 says that “God created man in His own image; male and female He created them.” This “male and female” God directed to “be fruitful and increase in number.” So “male and female” became “father and mother,” and on Mother’s Day we honour the mothers that God has given us, whether through natural birth or adoption.

Mother’s Day is a time to celebrate the incredible women who nurture, guide, and shape us into who we are. For many, a mother’s love—ithe unwavering devotion present in a mother’s heart—is a reflection of a higher love, and a testament to God’s grace.

 We remember the fifth of God’s Ten Commandments:

“Honour your father and mother, that your days may be long upon the land which the Lord your God is giving you.” (Exodus 20:12)

Mother’s Day is the perfect opportunity to do just that.

Message to Moms:

Dear Mom,
I honour you today and always for your constant unconditional love,
your steadfast heartfelt prayers,
your sweet comfort in all my wounded ways,
and all the selfless sacrifices you have made, for my sake.
I honour you for God’s strength and wisdom and mercy that shine from you,
encouraging me,
helping me develop a good, Godly character that mirrors your own.
I honour you for our family’s firm foundation of faith,
your solid legacy that will pass down to all generations.

You are my Mom, and I am more than grateful.
You are my Mom, and God’s rich blessing in my life.
I thank God every day for giving You to ME.
May God bless and reward you today and always!”
