Orgo-Life the new way to the future Advertising by AdpathwayPresident Donald Trump reportedly let his temper get the best of him with another world leader in the Oval Office last year.
The Wall Street Journal reported on Sunday that when French President Emmanuel Macron visited weeks into Trump’s new term, the two tried to have a video call with then-Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
It didn’t go well.
Trump, the Journal said, grew “frustrated with a technical issue that prevented him from chiming in.”
An official who was present for the meeting told the newspaper that Trump “lobbed the device over the Resolute Desk and onto the floor.”
Trump has something of a history of throwing or tossing things when he’s unhappy with the objects or the situation. Just last month, for example, Trump pulled off his microphone and tossed it to the ground when he grew angry and stormed out of a “Meet the Press” interview. And in perhaps one of his more infamous incidents, he allegedly threw his lunch against the wall when he was angry about the 2020 election.
Cassidy Hutchinson, who was the top assistant to White House chief of staff Mark Meadows when the incident occurred, testified in 2022 that “there was ketchup dripping down the wall, and there was a shattered porcelain plate on the floor.”
She said it wasn’t a one-time thing.
“There were several times throughout my tenure with the chief of staff that I was aware of him either throwing dishes or flipping the tablecloth to let all the contents of the table go onto the floor and likely break or go everywhere,” Hutchinson said.
