Fox News’ liberal “The Five” co-host Jessica Tarlov delivered her conservative colleagues a blunt reality check over Donald Trump’s repeated claims that his war with Iran is under control and nearing an end.

Tarlov pushed back after co-host Jesse Watters claimed “we have a good handle on things” in the conflict, which resumed last week after the collapse of a ceasefire.

“Are you kidding?” she asked, noting how the Trump administration’s stated timeline for ending the war, which began in February, has shifted from “24 to 48 hours, then it was a few weeks, then it’s a few months.”

She continued, “It’s been bridge and power plant day I think three times, threatening to end civilization.” Then she pointed out that Trump has repeatedly claimed Iran wants a deal and that the war is almost over.

“It feels like B.S. at this point,” she added.

“We’ve tried bombs, that didn’t work. We’ve tried diplomacy,” she said.

Watters challenged her claim that the bombing campaign wasn’t working.

Tarlov responded: “If it was as obliterated as you say it is, we wouldn’t have any of these problems. That’s the truth.”

On X, Tarlov summarized her argument, writing:

“We were promised 24–48 hours. Then a few weeks. Then a few months. We’ve had “bridge day” and “power plant day” multiple times. Every day it’s “Iran wants a deal.” Every day it’s “the war is almost over.” At some point, enough. We tried bombs. We tried diplomacy. And now you’re left thinking this is just market manipulation.”
