President Donald Trump got a little Mc-catty toward Tom Cruise at the McDonald’s Impact Summit in Washington on Monday. (Watch the video below.)

In a segment complimenting the pilots who bombed Iran’s nuclear facilities in June, the president said that when he brought them to the White House he noticed they were “all handsome.”

“They look like Tom Cruise,” Trump continued. “They really do. I don’t want to be a wise guy and say ‘but taller.’ I’m not gonna say that.”

Trump got laughs ― but one wonders if Cruise, who played a heroic pilot in the “Top Gun” movies, would find it so funny.

The cinema idol admitted once he was sensitive to talk that he wasn’t tall enough to play the 6-foot-5-inch character Jack Reacher in the 2012 movie of the same name.

Women’s Wear Daily wrote he wore shoes to look taller at a premiere for Brad Pitt’s “F1” premiere in June, and used a similar “footwear trick” at a Cannes event. “Tom Cruise Keeps His Height-Boosting Footwear Game Strong At ‘F1: The Movie’ Red Carpet Premiere,” the headline read.

Trump may be fudging his height a bit. He appeared to be considerably shorter than Prince William, who is known to be 6 feet, 3 inches tall, in recent photos, according to a recent report. An old driver’s license listed Trump at 6 feet, 2 inches.

Trump also called the pilots “perfect specimens.”

“I mean, these guys are like from a movie,” he said. “I could take every one of them and put them in a movie.”
