The Arch of Constantine is a large triple triumphal arch in Rome, built in 315 AD to commemorate Emperor Constantine the Great's victory over Maxentius at the Battle of the Milvian Bridge. Located between the Colosseum and the Palatine Hill, it is the largest surviving Roman triumphal arch and is famous for its extensive use of spolia—reused sculptures and architectural elements stripped from earlier monuments dedicated to Trajan, Hadrian, and Marcus Aurelius.
