Orgo-Life the new way to the future Advertising by Adpathway“Daily Show” correspondent Desi Lydic on Wednesday joked that Donald Trump “got a little off track” during his so-called “affordability” rally held at a Pennsylvania-based casino and hotel this week.
Lydic aired clips of Trump’s wacky rally ramblings on his various names for Joe Biden and his claim that Black people “know a scam better than anybody,”
“At least no one was thinking about the Epstein files anymore,” Lydic said.
She then played an out-of-context clip that’s circulating on social media of Trump telling the crowd, “For miners, do we love miners? I love miners.”
Lydic reacted to the clip — which has been mocked due to Trump sounding like he’s saying “minors” — with a straight face.
“We know, we all saw the birthday card,” she quipped alongside an image of Trump’s alleged birthday message to the late convicted sex offender.
Lydic recalled the moment she was watching Fox News’ live coverage of the rally with closed captioning turned on.
“This is completely real,” said Lydic as she highlighted a clip showing the captioner writing “minors” under Trump before quickly realizing the error.
“Delete, delete, delete!”
The “Daily Show” crowd erupted in laughter and applause.
“Whoopsie! That’s what Fox gets for hiring Prince Andrew to do the captions,” she joked.
