Orgo-Life the new way to the future Advertising by AdpathwayA new tribute to President Donald Trump has been branded “so f**king ridiculous” by critics online.
The Trump-appointed U.S. Commission of Fine Arts last week approved the design of a 24-karat gold commemorative coin — featuring Trump — to mark the 250th anniversary of America.
The Republicans Against Trump group, fierce critics of the president, shared an image of the coin on X, formerly Twitter, calling it “straight-up banana republic stuff.”
JUST IN: Trump’s handpicked Commission of Fine Arts approved a general design for a 24k gold commemorative coin for the U.S. 250th anniversary featuring Trump’s image.
“I motion to approve this as presented, and with the strong encouragement that you make it as large as… pic.twitter.com/sa49ZmKt5I
Others mocked the design by reworking the coin to include Trump alongside his onetime associate, the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
Some depicted Trump as a baby, while others said it reinforced the idea that his MAGA base is a “cult,” comparing it to something out of authoritarian North Korea. Many asked if it was a parody.
Former Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R-Ill.) called it “creepy.”
Please tell me this is a joke! 🤔
— Ingrid Myrie 🟧 (@IngridMyrie) March 19, 2026Is Epstein on the other side?
— 🇩🇰 Jacob 🏴☠️ (@Jacob_S_H) March 20, 2026These coins will remind us of the eternal shame that the bastion of liberty and shining city in the hill could elect a spiteful mean unhinged man and threaten the very foundation of our societies. A pillar of shame. https://t.co/Sow1A97gAI
— Søren Pind (@sorenpind) March 20, 2026It doesn't have to be big, just cheap and gaudy.
— Earle L. Bailey 🇮🇪🇬🇧🏴🇸🇪🇩🇰 (@Altanon) March 20, 2026Shameful. The cult of personality is North Korea style. The country’s debt is increasing, the economy is fragile, people are divided - what did he accomplish? He is a failed president thus far.
— Alex Desna (@Alex2Desna) March 19, 2026If history does not correctly portray this man as a completely delusional, narcissistic, authoritarian mad man, we will have failed our grand & great grandchildren and so forth. https://t.co/wn3NkfEsib

— Rick (@RLRottman) March 20, 2026It will end up being worth less than the value of the gold.
— Matthew Donnelly (@m_donnelly4u) March 19, 2026Good to know where this administration is focusing it’s attention during an economic struggle and war
— THEcookieBaker (@psyassasin4606) March 19, 2026Appalling.
Another sad day for America.
The next administration should declare these to be of zero value and recall them.
— 67TBurt (@20HBCurl_Xup) March 20, 2026Is this a parody account?
— The Duke of Cornwall (@Peter_Chisholm) March 19, 2026It's literally against the law!
A living POTUS cannot be put on circulating currency as it gives the impression of a monarchy!
That’s not fair to bananas, or the republics in which they grow.
