Comedian Andrew Schulz is side-eyeing Charlamagne tha God for what he called the radio host “justifying” the latest alleged assassination attempt against President Donald Trump at the White House Correspondents’ Association dinner.

During Saturday’s episode of the “Brilliant Idiots” podcast, the conversation kicked off after Charlamagne said the “brutality” of Trump’s illegal immigration crackdown could be a motivating factor for someone to want to murder the president.

“Are you saying that it’s justified because of it?” Schulz questioned, to which Charlamagne quickly said, “No, no.”

Schulz shared that while he didn’t think his co-host was justifying it, he believed people who don’t know Charlamagne “consumed” his previous comments about the shooting that way. He added that people may assume that Charlamagne meant that Trump “deserved” being a target at the media gala shooting.

Last week, after White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt demanded that political rhetoric against Trump and his supporters be “toned down” while blaming Democrats for the shooting, Charlamagne said on an episode of “The Breakfast Club” that he was “sick of that narrative” and argued that the president is “the drama.”

“We have to deal with the reality that some of [Trump’s] policies have hurt people so much that some folks are willing to risk it all,” Charlamagne told Schulz on Saturday, sparking pushback from the comedian.

“Well, now you’re justifying it,” Schulz interjected.

Charlamagne insisted, “I’m not justifying it. It’s just a reality you have to deal with.”

“I just think we would be remiss to not take a step back and not just have conversations about violent rhetoric,” he continued. “Let’s talk about violent policies that people have been watching over the last year and half.

“And how a lot of people have been hurt by those policies. And some of those people are willing to risk it all — because to your point earlier, they have nothing else to lose,” Charlamagne told Schulz.

“Sure sure, but I guess what I’m saying is, we still go, ‘It’s wrong to do that,’” Schulz replied.

“I’m not saying it’s right,” Charlamagne argued, repeating that we all still “have to deal with the reality.”

“But you and I both know from knowing people that are crazy that it actually doesn’t take that much to get actual crazy people to do things,” Schulz rebutted.
