San Francisco 49ers owner Jed York was arrested in Ohio over the weekend on suspicion of engaging in prostitution, the California Post confirmed.

York, 46, was arrested Sunday in East Palestine and booked into the Columbiana County Jail.

The Youngstown, Ohio, native pleaded no contest Monday after the state amended the prostitution count to disorderly conduct. He was also convicted of “possessing criminal tools.”

A judge sentenced York to one day in jail on each count, with the sentences to be served concurrently.

According to WKBN, which was first to report the arrest, a police report stated, “On August 23, 2026, the East Palestine Police Department assisted the MVHTTF on the arrest of John York.”

York has since paid a $150 fine for the disorderly conduct conviction and a $1,000 fine for possessing criminal tools.

York and his wife, Danielle Belluomini, have two sons, Jaxon and Brixton.

He was named CEO of the 49ers in 2008.

In 2023, York was sued for alleged insider trading connected to his seat on the board of Chegg, a Santa Clara-based “homework help” company accused of enabling cheating.
