I just typed this response to someone invoking 'the Black problem' or 'Black crime', in a comment to a post of mine:
'I've been Black 59 years and like most of us, haven't murdered, raped, robbed, burglarized nor stole anything.
I joke if there's a mythological 'Black crime' gene, or 'cultural contagion' the far 'wrong' imagines, these negatives missed me! LOL
It's a Black criminal problem
I've been actively involved in safety advocacy since the 1990s.
It's a Black criminal problem, meaning a problematic percentage, not a universal Black one since the vast majority of us aren't engaged in crime.'
Since deconstructing the 'Black crime' fantasy is a favorite personal past time, here's an expansion of the above response:
As a 'non leftist' politically, conservatives fixated on 'Black crime' have always been a quandary. They hallucinate that all 51.6 million of us (estimated 2025 number) are engaged in non-stop brutality and larceny, minus 'good ones' like conservative US Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, economist Thomas Sowell or US Senator Tim Scott.
If the 'Black crime' fantasy were true, it would overwhelm every active duty military, reserve, National Guard, law enforcement component, plus all armed citizens and vigilantes in the country.
Overseas forces would be rapidly redeployed stateside if nearly 52 million Black people were on a 24/7 rampage. It would make every American war and conflict pale in comparison.
Since President Trump in two terms nor the Republican-controlled Congress have announced such an apocalyptic crisis, I conclude yet again that the 'Black crime' fantasy of universal racial criminality doesn't exist.
Black criminals, a percentage of our population, do exist, along with ones in other demographics. I've opposed them for a lifetime, regardless of pigmentation.
Black crime fighters exist too. The interesting consideration is how conservatives fixated on 'Black crime' never highlight our individuals and organizations engaged in 'creating safety'.
Were I so afflicted, I would jump for joy seeing men in the alleged universal criminal group who oppose crime.

Newton Gun Club, Black Lion Party For International Solidarity, National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives (NOBLE), the Mirror Project (Retired Black FBI agents), New York Police Department Guardians Association, National Black Prosecutors Association, International Organization of Black Security Executives (IOBSE), National Black Sheriff's Association, National Black Police Association, National Association of Blacks In Criminal Justice, Black Probation Officers Association of Los Angeles, National Association of Black Narcotic Agents, Historically Black Colleges and Universities Law Enforcement Executives (HBCU-LEEA), 100 Blacks In Law Enforcement Who Care, Blacks In Law Enforcement of America, National Association of Black Law Enforcement Officers, National Organization of Black Women in Law Enforcement, Detroit 300, New Era Detroit, Tendea Family, Detroit Threat Management Center, MAD DADS, Dads On Duty, Security Dads, Caldwell Institute For Public Safety, the Woodson Center, National African American Gun Association, Black Gun Owners Association, 'Detroit Batman' Walter Gildersleeve and his Detroit Street Watchers, international mentors like 100 Black Men, and more.
'Black crime' is a fantasy.
