A self-confessed “diehard” supporter of Donald Trump detailed how she feels “betrayed” by the president during an emotional call to Megyn Kelly’s radio show on Monday.

The caller, Janet, a registered Republican from Long Island, New York, told “The Megyn Kelly Wrap-Up Show” host Emily Jashinsky that she still loves the president but feels “abandoned” and believes he no longer cares about the middle class.

“I’m 68. My husband’s 69. We’re never going to stop working. He’s a contract electrician. We built our house. We’re going to have to move out of Dix Hills because the taxes are $16,000. I don’t want to quit working because Medicare is too much money, so I get benefits where I work,” the woman said.

Trump “needs to help” the people who “stood up for him when it wasn’t popular to still stand up for him,” she continued.

The woman added that she fears her son “could be drafted” if Trump’s Iran war continues, saying: “I don’t want my children or my friend’s children dying in a war that has nothing to do with us.”

“I don’t want to give up on him. I think he’s the best thing that ever happened to America, but I’m starting to get really sad and betrayed,” she added of the president.

Jashinsky ended the call, saying “we’ve heard this over and over again just the last couple months.”
