Could I afford it? Not really. But I couldn't afford to do nothing for someone from my community suffering so distantly.

We aren't rich. That's much of the problem. But we also don't have to treat each other poorly...'

Between established economic stressors and new wartime pressures, the working class is getting worked over. Especially creative types like ones in my group. Unemployment and depression are running rampant in their ranks. That's why I urge them to 'be there' for each other. It beats hearing only an echo chamber of negative self talk.

Readers can relate to my peers' plight. Non one-percenters', meaning the rest of us who aren't wealthy, are feeling financially pinched right now: mortgages, rent, business expenses, food, medical care, children, grandchildren, helping other relatives and friends, utilities, gas, credit cards, loans, depleting savings and stocks, you name it.

Offering moral support is better than ignoring personal implosions happening before our very eyes. While everyone has to fight their own battles it's always easier with positive feedback.

That's what I try to get guys in my online group to appreciate. Few benefactors can change your life forever. A more available option are concerned friends who will listen to you.

'Super helpers' as I call them are going through holy h*ll right now. Regular citizens feel like they're in hades too.

I'm trying to get creative activists to understand it's better not to go through hard times in isolation.
