Do you ever go out for Black Friday? If you had a time machine, you could jet back to 1998 and pick up a vintage Furby. They were pretty hot back then, small weird robot aliens that could talk and dance. Just don’t buy one for this guy, because he’d probably put it in a microwave.

In this video from 2006, a culinary innovator spends several minutes dressing a Furby in ground turkey and duck sauce, then throws it in a microwave. The Furby sings as the sauce drizzles over. Then, after the microwave door closes, the footage becomes a black-and-white arthouse horror.

Why’d he do it? Maybe his Thanksgiving plans fell through, or maybe it was all that weirdness about Furbies picking up errant radio frequencies. Like portable fluffy numbers stations. Who knows, really, but I guess that could get annoying.

Anyway, don’t try that at home. Just watch the video here, and beware the stampeding crowds of shoppers out hunting for deals on Airpods. I can hear them right now, pouring over shelves at a distant Walmart…
